As of immediately we are looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer (f/m/divers) in full-time.
You will be reporting to the Head of Mechanical Systems while having the complete ownership and end-to-end responsibility over complex aircraft components such as the fuselage, the wings, or the landing gear.
You will be managing the complete process of the systems from breakdown of requirements through concept, like initial layout & sizing, development & calculation, production & testing, and analysis & optimisation, by always keeping the context of your system within the aircraft in mind. This strong focus on the overarching goal leads to many interactions and interfaces with the engineering team with tight timescales which requires an efficient, creative and proactive design approach.

The group shares the vision of a completely new type of individual transportation and is dedicated to develop and build the world’s first fully electric vertical take-off and landing (VTOL) jet. An estimated range of up to 300 km and a top speed of 300 km/h, along with zero emissions make it the most efficient and eco-friendly individual means of transportation of our time. By providing ultra-redundancy, the Lilium Jet will also set new standards in safety.
Lilium aims at liberating towns and cities from today’s congestion and pollution, with people able to come and go freely, vastly expanding the radius of their everyday lives.
